Peniel Board of Directors

Mrs. Sandra Kay Williams

Sandra Kay and her husband, Reverend Mark L. Williams, reside in Cleveland, Tennessee, with their two sons, Austin (13) and Ryan (7).

Mrs. Williams currently serves as a member of the Church of God International Women’s Ministries Advisory Council and counts it a joy and privilege to serve the women of the Church of God around the world in this role.  She also serves as team leader for the Covenant Sisters of the Williams Covenant Ministry Team, a group of fourteen states and regions, with her husband as liaison from the Church of God Executive Committee.

She was recently elected to Peniel Ministries Board of Directors, (Pennsylvania) a Christian rehabilitation center for those struggling with substance abuse, addiction and dependency.

For 2004-2008, she served as state women’s ministries president and administrative bishop’s wife for the Church of God in the California/Nevada Offices. Her position involved hosting women’s conferences and pastors’ wives retreats, teaching and providing resources for women’s ministry leaders, and raising funds for missions’ projects, widows’ centers, and orphanages around the world.

She writes and contributes articles, Bible studies, and devotions annually for the Church of God International Women’s Ministries website: www.womensministries.cc

Prior to her service in California/Nevada, the Williams pastored a thriving multi-cultural pastorate in Tampa, Florida, where Sandra Kay led and taught over 100 women weekly in group Bible study.  The title song of her first recording project in their earlier years of evangelistic ministry was “Give Me the Word.”  She hungers and daily depends on God’s Word and hopes to spread a craving for the Bread of Life to those under her influence.

Filling the roles of homemaker, school and church volunteer, and working outside the home on a constant list of projects, Sandra Kay has a first-hand understanding of the pressures and multi-tasking demands faced by 21st century women.

In addition to speaking, music and singing are her “first loves.”  She holds a Bachelors in Music with Honors from Lee College and offered private vocal instruction in her home and taught music in schools.  She has also found herself as interim music director on several occasions in the churches they pastored.  Williams always has a song in her heart and is passionate about worship.

The Lord spared her life on June 12, 2004, when she fell 10 feet through the attic to her garage floor and only shattered her heel.  After months in a wheelchair and many more months of torturous therapy, she has adopted Psalm 56:13 as her verse for life, “For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life”.   Sandra Kay is miraculously walking in the Light.
